Rabbit Ears

This is how we get down on our days off from snowboarding! We found waste deep powder on Rabbit Ears pass, just above Steamboat Springs, Colorado. There has been 9 feet of snow fall in this area in the month of February. Even the turbo long track sleds were struggling a bit in this powder. This is a couple short clips of what we got the privilege of enjoying for our entire Sunday. I thank God daily that I live in a place that produces the atmosphere for me to push the limits, truly live up my potential, and enjoy the things that I am most passionate about. What a wonderful day!

I brought my snowboard in anticipation to ride some massive powder. There was so much snow that we couldn't climb the mountains on our snowmobiles to drop off on top. Definitely in need of a helicopter on this day.

Worst stick of the day. 10 + feet of snow in the bottom of this valley, not the ideal place to stick your sled. We literally had to built an exit road to get this sled unstuck.

More digging

After a day like this I dread summer approaching. But from the looks of the late snow pack we'll be riding in July!
